Evaluation starts with your medical history, an exam and targeted blood tests — a complete blood count, iron studies including ferritin, B12 and folate, and further testing when needed. Treatment is matched to the diagnosis: IV iron for iron deficiency, medication or injections for other conditions, and on-site chemotherapy or immunotherapy for blood cancers.
